In an effort to address the cancer problem that hits close to home for so many, BioNumerik has pioneered Mechanism Based Drug Discovery, an innovative model for drug discovery and development that uses a Multidisciplinary Approach and capitalizes on integrating multiple scientific disciplines, including chemistry, biology, molecular pharmacology and quantum physics, with clinical data and advanced computational technologies. This enables us to identify, simulate and better understand the mechanisms by which drugs and their targets function. Our integrated, multidisciplinary approach aims to streamline drug development by selecting and optimizing promising compounds earlier in the discovery process, reducing the time and expense involved in laboratory testing. Our computational simulations model the way drugs function within the human body, giving an early assessment of the expected efficacy and safety of a new drug before extensive time and costs are spent in clinical or preclinical testing.
